Abstract

Strobilanthes crispus is a herbal plant that can usually be used as diuretic substance. The aims of the research are to find out the effect of oral intake of the leaf Strobilanthes crispus extract on the level of glucose and creatinine in urine of mice. Complete random design is used in this research by employing 12 mice of 3 months old with 150-160g of body weight. The mice are grouped into 4 experimental categories, and each category consist of three replications. The treatment applied for those groups is: aquadest 1 ml/100g BW; 1 ml/100g BW of 10% w/v of Strobilanthes crispus lead extract; 1 ml/100 gr BW of 15% w/v of Strobilanthes cripus leaf extract; 1 ml/100g BW of 20% w/v of Strobilanthes crispus leaf extract. The parameters used level of glucose are creatinine in urine mice. The result shows that the level of the glucose and creatiine increases.
