Abstract

Hypothesis argues that earobics training can improve the listening skill elementary scholl children. Based on the hypothesis, earobics training was design. The training module consisted of how to manage our ears actively in communication process. The training module adapted from earobics training which designed by Paul Madaule. The purpose of this study was to test the efficacy of earobics training in active listening skill of elementary scholl children. Subjects were selected by random. They were divided into 2 groups: 20 subjects participated in the experimental group and 20 subjects participated in the control group. The design of this experiment was the pretest post-test control group design. Bath of groups were given listening test before and after the training. T-test analysis of active listening test score indicated that there was a significant difference in active listening skills level of the experimental and the control groups after the training. The active listening skill level of the experimental group was higher than control group. Before the training there wasn't a significant difference in active listening skills level of the two groups. Therefore, it seems that earobics training was effective in improving active listening skills of elementary scholl children.
