Abstract
Cholesterol is a yellowish fat and is like wax produced by the human body, especially in the liver (Guyton & Hall, 2007). Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012 showed that 17.5 million people worldwide died from cardiovascular disease or 31% of 56.5 million deaths worldwide. More than 3/4 of deaths from cardiovascular disease occur in developing countries with low to moderate incomes. Of all deaths from cardiovascular disease 7.4 million (42.3%) were caused by coronary heart disease (CHD) and 6.7 million (38.3%) caused by stroke. Many plants around us can be consumed to reduce cholesterol levels, one of which is cinnamon. The solution offered to introduce cholesterol disease optimally is through the lecture method and discussion/question and answer session followed by practicing the processing of cinnamon into capsules for the treatment of high cholesterol. Thus the output will be obtained in the form of knowledge about cholesterol disease, treatment and how to process cinnamon capsules. Community target groups who are members of the Aditapa Banjarejo Vocational School Teachers' Mother, Madiun City.
