Abstract

We are tightly concerned with various problems of children, either in the contexts of family, of school, or of society. The phenomena of children problems should be handled accurately and effectively; otherwise, they will badly influence the children’s achievement and their growing up process and development. Due to the fact that children problems may take place both at school and at home, the children’s parents are required to actively involve in the children problems resolution. Children’s parents are good partners for teachers to cooperatively help students in problems. Consultative services for parents as one of essential components of guidance and counselling services may become effective media to help students who have some problems. As previously stated in this paper, consultative services as an aspect of responsive services require counsellors’ close attention and are expected to be a strategic solution on the performing of professional guidance and counselling services. Through consultative services, parents get much help on how to be capable of handling improper behaviour of children.
