Abstract

Nowadays, science and technology develop so fast and everything is unpredictable. It is hoped that the Faculty of Engineering-University of Widya Mandala Madiun may produce skillful graduates, so that they may satisfy the user due to their field and skill. Skillful manpower is needed in accordance with the workplace. In order that the goals of education are fully gained, appropriate strategies need formulating. The Directorate General of Education realizes the importance of the formulation of strategies in university by including the format of management as an effort to increase the quality of education. The quality of education can run continuously if it is correlated to the strategy planning which refers to the decided goals. Then, the strategy planning is changed into operational planning which is implemented every year. The Faculty of Engineering-University of Widya Mandala Madiun is one of the faculties which are located in Madiun among the faculties in other universities of different towns. Along with its effort to develop the mentality of the nation, the Faculty of Engineering-University of Widya Mandala Madiun is hoped to be capable of running its duties well and can fulfil the demands of the user. That is why, it needs to introduce a brief discussion about Balanced Scorecard as the implication of strategy planning for the Faculty of Engineering-University of Widya Mandala Madiun.
