Abstract

The research aimed to examine the correlation between Self-adjustment, Self-efficacy and the Academic achievement. The samples take over using Total Samping Technique. The Samples of the research were college students of the Guidance and Counseling Department of Satya Wacana Christian University. The data were collected by the use of the Bell Adjustment Inventory for Self-adjustment and Self-efficacy Scale composed on the basic of Bandura Self-efficacy theory. Academic achievement was collected using academic report of GPA (Grade Point Average). The data of this research were analyzed using Spearman Analysis that processed by SPSS (Statistical Product and service solutions) Release 11.5 for Windows Computer Program. The data analysis showed that: (1) There was positive and significant correlation between the self-efficacy and academic achievement (rho=0,400*, p=0,026) (2) There was not positive and significant correlation between self-adjustment at home and academic achievement (rho=0,059, p=0,754), (3). There was not positive and significant correlation between healthy self-adjustment and academic achievement (rho=-0,094 dan p=0,616). (4). There was not positive and significant correlation between social self-adjustment and academic achievement (rho=0,157, p=0,400). (5). There was not positive and significant correlation between emotional self adjustment and academic achievement (rho=-0,280, p=0,127).
